Yr 3 + 4 - Gilbert White - Feb 2024
Monday 19th & Friday 23rd February 2024
As part of our ‘Pole to Pole’ geography topic this term, we will be learning about biomes and sustainability as well as building on some of our geographical skills such as map and enquiry-based work.
To support this learning experience, we are planning to visit the Gilbert White Field Studies Centre. An exciting trip has been planned where the children will get the opportunity to conduct field studies in and around the centre’s 16th century barn. Trained staff will lead field study groups where children will learn more about navigation and map work as well as soils, rocks and sustainability. The children will also go into the main house and learn about the polar explorer Captain Oates.
