Year 5 - Sailing (Andrew Simpson Centre) + 2 nights at Fort Purbrook, Portsmouth - May

During the spring term, Year 5 children are given the opportunity to visit the Portsmouth Watersports Centre in Portsmouth. Here they participate in a range of watersports including 2 days learning to sail a dinghy (therefore completing level 1 of RYA qualifications) kayaking and stand up paddle boarding.

The team of highly-trained and experienced centre staff enable the children to become confident and independent on the water whilst closely monitoring safety. There are also some land-based activities to enjoy such as climbing and raft building if the weather is inclement.

The children stay overnight at Fort Purbrook which can be seen from the watersports centre. They spend 2 nights at the Fort enjoying time with their friends, taking part in fun activities and getting some much needed rest before the next fun filled day!
