The fabulous author, Lucy Strange, enthralled and engaged our children recently with spooky stories and tales of her writing career. The children bought her books and she kindly signed them.
The Roving Bookshop were in all day for children to buy books.
Lots of inspiration for all our readers!
As part of their Geography learning - Years 5 / 6 walked 14km, in one day, from school up to the Iron Age Hillfort at Old Winchester Hill and back again via the disused railway line.
A huge achievement, filled with lots of Geographical learning linked to nature in the South Downs National Park.
Well done to our staff who organised this complex trip and everyone who made it safe and enjoyable!
An amazing turnout at the start of the month and celebrated in the newsletter (see below)

Two days of glorious weather at the inspirational sculpture park in Wiltshire. The children learnt about the inspirational private collection in idyllic grounds of the owners house. The education team taught the children all about sculpture in the outdoors which links perfectly to the Year 5 / 6 art curriculum.
Good luck Year 6 - we will miss you and your parents. We wish you all every success.
Mr Dampier & Luna
The Roving Bookshop returned for the final time this year. They will return again next year with famous authors as well.
After a COVID hiatus, our Greenpower STEM club raced the schools battery powered echo car The Drox on a memorable day at Goodwood Motor circuit.
As part of their STEM car research, the Year 5 team were privy to a client reveal of the new (at the time - top secret) Roll Royce Spectre. Rolls' first battery powered car. Such a privilege.
Year 6 (with Year 5 as the choir) literally blew us away with three memorable performances this term. So talented and such fun. Well done all!
Our cricket team continued their incredible season by winning through to the county finals at the famous Ageas Bowl. They qualified though their difficult group, won the quarter final (by 1 run) and then narrowly missed playing in the final after losing their semi final by 4 runs! So proud of them all.
