“The school has a real community feel. The care and support has made the transition to juniors very comfortable for both pupil and parents!”
Parents are key partners in the education of their child. Therefore we operate an ‘open door’ policy. If you wish to see a particular teacher ‘dropping in’ between 8:45 and 8:55 am or after school is encouraged. Alternatively please ring the school office to arrange for a teacher to telephone you or to make an appointment.
“My son buzzes with enthusiasm for Droxford!”
Parent / teacher consultations are held in the autumn term. In the spring term we like the children to come along to the consultation so that we can discuss progress and targets. In the summer term an annual report is written which summarises progress and achievements. If you have queries or concerns about progress, please contact us sooner rather than later.
“I was delighted when my son presented me with my very own “Droxford Junior School – I’ve been collaborative” sticker after I had helped him with his homework!”
“Children can take on responsibilities around the school whether as a road safety officer, a member of the school council or energy enforcement officer who keeps an eye on environmental matters and the school really listens to them – they have a valuable role in how the school is run.”
“Most importantly to us, our son is very happy at Droxford, whilst being challenged in a supportive and caring environment. The staff have very high expectations of the children, and appear to set the bar incredibly high, but quickly the children become self-motivated to deliver.”
“The children love Droxford and parents love Droxford. The teachers and staff all seem to genuinely enjoy working there. It is a very happy popular school.”
